Also, what money? Ever since Hollywood has been doubling down on representation for representation sake and portraying white men as the worst thing ever, they've been actively losing money. Meanwhile, movies like top gun maverick that avoid talking about race and just make a great movie are making bank.

And as for your point that it's about money ultimately, that begs to be seen. So far companies like disney have shown that they've been willing to keep throwing money down the toilet in the name of their bs agenda.

And really dude? Most Americans supported the Civil rights movement. Hence why the equal rights act of 1965 came to be. And that had to include a lot of white people saying "this isn't right".

Even during slavery, the northern states quickly moved away from slavery due to it being inhumane and the republican party was formed specifically out of the desire to abolish slavery.

But let me ask you this, do you genuinely believe that racism should exist if there's proof of racism in that group's history? Because I can tell you now, that applies to literally every race on the planet. And you'll never end racism with that attitude.

@Origame - This is the part where we pretend there hasn't been a very well pronounced anti-white sentiment in Hollywood for the past few years. Where "Jokes" like this are said regularly and met with applause because it's supposedly "punching up" which is racist itself because that means you believe white people are above the other races. "Punching up" would be average people punching up to the government. But they won't insult any government official unless they have an "R" in front of their name.

Also are we pretending that words like "Whiteness" aren't being said at every level as a negative? If anyone said "Blackness" or "Asianess" as a bad thing they would be accurately called out for it. But the narrative is that simply being white grants you privilege. Tell that to the poor white people working a 9-5 to pay there bills and get no loans from simply being white.

Molly Ringwald recently talked about how "White" Pretty in Pink and the Breakfast Club was. And if they remade it the movie would be more diverse. Even though these films are based on John Hughes on upbringing. Which she later acknowledged.

Also are we forgetting Disney's racist hiring practices? Are you familiar with the "D Files" series by an Asian man? Where phrases like "Pale and male is stale" That's both sexist and racist but it's ok because it's the right kind of racism and sexism. Nah. It's all racist and sexist no matter who it's aimed at.

Maybe we can get back to that brief moment where people weren't tripping on race. Sadly that seems to be far away. Because the "righteous ones" don't actually want racial harmony. It seems as if they want revenge.

Two actors sterotyping both white mean and woman as alcholics? Not to mention, implying high divorce and marriage problems. It was disgusting.

Well, with the exceptions of politicians, they can all die for all I care, but that's because I think the evil sh*t they are doing should be illegal.

But to respond to the idea that "if a white dude bla bla bla", we actually did it, we did it for decades and centuries, even when I was a kid, racism and sexism coming from white men was just a regular day.

Things have been course correcting for what? A decade? Yes it is over correcting, yes it's bringing new issues.
So what? Every week we get more proof that women are as sexist as men and that every other race is as racist as white people.

There is no toxic masculanity and white supremacy, only toxic humanity and tribalism.

Give it time, things will smooth over, or we'll all kill each other, but that joke from Simu Liu is not something I would worry about.
