Emerson Escalante-Diaz netted Dover High’s first and last goals as the Senators downed Lake Forest, 4-1, in boys’ soccer on Tuesday night.
Pedro Gonzales and Nestor Monasterio also scored for Dover, which led 1-0 at halftime.
The Senators finished with advantages of 23-11 in shots and 9-7 in corner kicks.
Lake Forest got a goal from William Parker.
Caesar Rodney 9, Seaford 1: Braden Phillips (2 assists) and Lyod Coutilien netted two goals apiece in the Riders’ victory.
CR, which outshot the Blue Jays 18-3, also got goals from Chikezie Ikwuagwu (1 assist), Spencer Ott, Zachary Davis, Monroe Hite and John Spadavecchia.
Cristian Villalobos-Lopez scored for Seaford with Juan Montes making seven saves.
Indian River 3, Polytech 0: Yohanfer de Leon Mejia scored two first-half goals to spark the Indians.
Luke McCabe added a second-half goal with Zachary Neal making nine saves for IR, which outshot the Panthers, 19-12.
Christian Cote had 11 saves for Polytech.
Cape Henlopen 2, Delmar 1: Connor Hochrein and Danio Somoza-Lima scored as the unbeaten Vikings (8-0-1) held off the Wildcats.
Somoza-Lima’s goal gave Cape a 2-0 lead in the 72nd minute. The Vikings held advantages of 9-2 in shots and 5-1 in corner kicks.
Delmar’s Ryan Kowalski scored on a penalty kick in the 75th minute while Mason Ball made seven saves.
Sussex Tech 4, Milford 2: Trevor Daisey, Elver Mendoza-Velasquez, Byron Suarez-Garcia and Shaun Chilton each netted a goal for the Ravens.
Jodi Johnson made five saves as Sussex Tech outshot the Buccaneers 13-8.
Lensky Legros (1 assist) and Emanuelle Carranza scored Milford’s goals with Jaxson Turner making eight saves.
Laurel 3, Smyrna 1: The Bulldogs scored twice in the second half to break a 1-1 tie.
The Eagles got a goal from Solomon Momula and seven saves from Nicholas Taylor.
Sussex Central 6, Woodbridge 1: Johnny Garcia netted two first-half goals for the Golden Knights.
Eliel Ramos-Escobar also scored twice with Yordan Morales-Perez and Jerry Velasquez Mazariegos adding Central���s other goals.
Carlos Rodriguez-Berduo scored for the Raiders.
Field hockey
Smyrna 2, Polytech 1: Julie Snow scored on a penalty stroke at the 13:30 mark of overtime as the Eagles handed the Panthers (7-1) their first loss of the season.
Smyrna tied the contest when Alexis Moore scored off an assist with just 4:22 left in regulation. Katelynn Porter made four saves.
Mairead McKibbin tallied the Panthers’ goal with 13:30 remaining in regulation. Polytech held a 12-3 edge in corners.
Dover 5, Woodbridge 0: Chelsea Johnson scored three goals to lead the Senators.
Bryana Stamas and Sierra Manifold added Dover’s other goals. The Senators held advantages of 23-0 in shots and 17-0 in corners.
The Raiders’ Katie Adams made 18 saves.
Lake Forest 7, Sussex Central 1: Grace Aguilar and Bailey Dean scored twice each as the Spartans pulled away in the second half.
Maycee Collison, Jessica Tyndall and Cassie Dempsey also scored with August Lewis and Mikayla Smith combing to make five saves. Lake Forest held edges of 15-6 in shots and 15-7 in corners.
Macy Layfield scored for the Golden Knights and Kianna Kelley stopped eight shots.
Delmar 8, Milford 0: Ashlyn Carr (1 assist), Josie Hollamon (2 assists) and Ella Shockley all scored twice as the Wildcats (10-0) posted their ninth shutout.
Maci Bradford and Morgan Bradford had Delmar’s other goals .
Isabella Keesler-Evans made 30 saves for the Bucs.

Haydan Lord (1 assist) added a pair of goals for CR, which led 7-0 at halftime. The Riders’ other goals came from Alexis Pflumn, Jamie Mounts, Jessie Prillaman (1 assist) and Delaney Webb.
Jada Evans scored for the Blue Jays while Madeline Breitenbach made 12 saves.
Cape Henlopen 3, Indian River 0: Three different players had goals for the Vikings, who scored twice in the second half to finish off the victory.
Cameron Smith, Anna Harrington and Alia Marshall each tallied a goal for Cape, which finished with advantages of 19-0 in shots and 11-1 in corners.
Allyson Clark made nine saves for IR.
Sussex Tech 5, Laurel 1: The Ravens got all five of their goals in the first half.
Jade Powell had two goals with Regan Sammons, Lilly Short and Morgan Johnson adding the others. Kayla Brady and Taylor Bullis combined for 10 saves.
Elya Niblett scored for the Bulldogs, who got 10 saves from Kaegen Brittingham.
Sussex Academy 3, Newark 0: Emma Westbrook, Chloe Whittaker and Emma Lehman all scored second-half goals for the Seahawks.

Smyrna 3, Indian River 0: The Eagles earned a 25-12, 25-18, 25-22 victory over the Indians.
Leading the way for Smyrna were Kenley Cook (9 kills, 3 aces), Sophia Basler (6 kills, 2 aces, 10 digs), Hannah Osborne (21 assists) and Marqueisha Bennett (6 kills, 2 blocks).
Raychel Ehlers had 11 kills for IR, Marianni Chavez-Rodriquez had 17 assists and Jessica Amezcua added 14 digs.

Dover 3, Milford 0: The Senators improved to 8-2 with the 25-15, 25-17, 25-14 victory.
Cape Henlopen 3, Woodbridge 0: The Vikings topped the Raiders by scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-12.
Erin Morrissey had five kills with Mikiyah Ennals adding four for Cape. The Vikings were also paced by Emily Lamb (8 aces, 6 digs) and Teaghan Van Brunt (3 aces, 9 assists).
Sussex Tech 3, Sussex Academy 1: The Ravens won the final two games to close out the 25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 25-12 victory.
Leading Sussex Tech were Sierra Troyer (9 kills, 7 aces), Nataleigh Hunter (3 kills, 3 aces, 5 digs, 18 assists) and Paige Shockley (6 kills, 1 ace).
Sussex Central 3, Seaford 0: The Golden Knights earned the win by scores of 25-6, 25-5, 25-5.
Central were led by Madelynn McTeer (14 aces, 3 assists), Katelyn Evick (3 ills, 9 aces) and Brenya Reid (6 kills, 4 aces).
Delmarva Christian 3, Holly Grove Christian, Md. 0: The Royals picked up the win by scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-19.
College field hockey
Hens’ Miler honored: Delaware’s Grace Miller was named the CAA Rookie of the week after his first college helped the Blue Hens to a 6-3 win over James Madison.
It marks the fourth time this year that the Blue Hens have taken home the Rookie of the Week accolade. The win was Delaware’s 20th straight win over a CAA opponent (regular season and tournament games included).
